Considering my recent experience with the Enterprise location in Fresno, California, I am surprised that they sent me an email asking me to post a review here. I will preface this by saying that our company moved all of our business to Enterprise several years ago, and with the exception of this unpleasant interaction at FAT, all other locations have been great, and Enterprise obviously runs a good business.

For whatever reason, the location in Fresno could not find my credit card # to charge a day or so AFTER I returned the vehicle. I got a message from Nicholas Thompson (Assistant Manager) asking for this information (I am still not sure why they just did not charge the CC # on file in my profile). I asked for a copy of the rental agreement (receipt) to pay from, to which he refused (saying that they would only send this AFTER I had paid). 

While traveling, I received a couple of additional messages threatening that I would both be turned over to collections and put on the Enterprise “Do Not Rent” list. Still not sure how or why this whole situation got so bizarre, but unnecessarily threatening your corporate customers is probably not a good way to earn repeat business. I had to take the time to write a letter to the corporate office, and enclosed a check for my whopping $40 rental. They promptly credited my account, sent me a receipt and even called to follow-up. All is well that ends well, but this was a lot of unnecessary hassle because the location in Fresno thought that threatening me with collections action was a good idea. 

The irony of this whole situation is that I will actually be in Fresno for a good part of August and September and need a rental car during that time. Based upon this experience, I am obviously apprehensive about giving my business to the Enterprise location there.

When we first got our car from Enterprise there was a problem with it in Fresno, California. They were quick to give us a second car. The car took us on our California trip and we had no issues with it. We appreciate Enterprise quickly switching out cars for us and being so accommodating. I would choose Enterprise again because of their wonderful customer service.

The reservation clerk was very nice and greeted with a smile.  The car pick-up clerk was very efficient and made sure that I had the information I needed, including how to get out to the highway.  She made a point of asking me whether or not I had questions.  Exiting was very easy.  A very pleasant experience.

Enterprise is usually pretty good.   The employees who work at the Fresno Airport and Clovis Ave office have very good customer service skills.   I had one negative experience with a Customer Service over the phone when my credit card reached its limit due to the newly implemented $200 hold.   The $200 hold put me over by $60 over my card's limit but the Manager that I spoke with over the phone was unwilling to assist me that day.  It was very disappointing considering we always rent from Enterprise.   The kicker was that I had enough to cover the rental so I had to go to another Enterprise and use my Debit card to pay for the entire rental upfront which was not a problem.    Bad customer service that day from a manager who probably could have assisted me but chose not to.

It's a very long walk from the baggage claim area to the outdoor Enterprise Office for one who has had both hips replaced and 3 back surgeries.  Very difficult task.  The Fresno Yosemite Airport office has the best hours though....6:00 a.m. to 11:00 pm.  Other offices close to me open at 7:30 a.m. and close at 5:00 p.m.  Not good at all.
