A small, beautiful spot steeped in history. The staff has done such an exceptional job keeping this historic site preserved and scenic. One can feel the energy and history just walking around the mounds and the nature path that encirles the main area has nice little picturesque surprises in it. Great if you're not looking for a huge walk but still want to get out and see something truly unique.

Good walking access to mounds, though not for handicapped. Nothing but a good view to see from the tops—almost all artifacts from the mounds are off-site at museums and at universities for study—no reenactment buildings on mounds. Inside museum good, with originals and replicas, staff very helpful and knowledgeable, and a nice documentary film. Hours of operation very good. Takes some imagination to grasp the scale of the town and its origins, without extra study.

Every American should visit this site. It's so historic and it provides amazing insight into the lives of people who lived here hundreds of years ago! Even if you're not interested in the history, there's a pretty river with a nice place to walk.

Not a bad price for all of the educational information. The gift shop is a little small, but we were a bit crowded due to it being a field trip for my nephew. It was definitely fun!
