It is a great place to go for hikes, fishing, camping, etc. There is a mine that is a way up a trail but it is worth the hike up there. The place is clean and beautiful.

We were the first to camp in the new backcountry campsites that opened late last year. They are located by the creek between the lake loop trail and marble mine trail in a very picturesque setting. It was cold and rainy while we were there but this is north Georgia in early February. JHF SP is a great out of the way place to get away from it all.
