Beautiful hike! Doable for toddlers too!!! 1.2mi loop hike that begins on a boardwalk followed by stairs with views of the creek and waterfall almost all of the way up then a casual trail back down. You do have the option of retracing your steps and taking the stairs and boardwalk back. My friend and I did this hike backwards in the pouring rain and it was no big deal, but I'm a hiker. Not too many rocks or roots on the trail part. A must for locals and visitors!!! $5 parking fee (National Park Passes not accepted).

I have been to Amicalola falls on several occasions. I have been up the walking trails along the water falls. I have stayed at the Hotel, I have had, many meals at the Hotel, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The views from the top of the falls is breath taking, as the view of the falls is also a site to see. Great for weekend getaways, with the family and friends. Also a great camping adventure, with cabins to stay in. But caution watch out for the bears, unless it is winter time. Don't forget to try the zip lines, through out the mountains.

ok, its a state park. why would you go there for the food. plus i read another review by one lady saying the falls wasn't that good and go to Niagara Falls if you want to see some real falls. i live in NY and Niagara Falls is huge and tons of water but Amicalola Falls is a 730 ft cascading waterfall. how often do you get to see something like that. its sad some people can't see beauty when its looking them in the face. i took many picture of this falls and when i got home and showed family and friends they all say WOW!!!! this is why you come to a place like this is to see god's handy work. not the gift shop, not the food, not the rest rooms. the beauty of the park. this is without question a must see and if you have no insight please stay home with your TV

We went to their Thanksgiving lunch buffet and it was incredible. The food was absolutely incredible! The wait wasn't long, but it was really fun wait in the lobby where an employee brought out various live birds, (an owl, falcon, etc) and taught everyone about them. Downstairs there were fun crafts for the kids to make (for free) like candles/ ornaments. Also, they had costumed employees churning butter and demonstrating old fashioned toys. After lunch, which was awesome, we went for a hike to the falls. This was probably the most fun and least stressful Thanksgiving ever.

The entire park was beautiful! Very well maintained trails and roads. The staff at both the visitor center and lodge were very nice. Cheap rents for campsites and park pass. The lodge at the top has firewood for campsites. There is no complimentary breakfast in the morning for those of you wondering. Rooms were clean, only thing is the bathroom door was designed wrong where it would not lock. Overall it was a fantastic weekend!
