Story

We opened February 2010. The gym is family owned and operated, beautiful, 4 story building located in the heart of downtown Norfolk, VA. We offerTRX classes and training, nutritional counseling, personal trainers, an outdoor boxing deck, brand new equipment, free group fitness classes, and so much more.... COME CHECK US OUT!!!!!

Great local business/gym and staple of the community. Never overcrowded and all staff are friendly. Includes 4 floors of clean, quality equipment for any type of fitness needs! Highly recommended.

I started working out at Fitness First a month and a half ago and have been impressed with the facility and its staff. I signed up for personal training with the owner, Julie Jackson, who got me off to a great start. Julie is very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with . She listens to your fitness goals and, following a thorough assessment, works with you to achieve those goals. The facility is clean, well equipped and maintained. Also, the staff is friendly and helpful.

Hands down the best gym I've ever been a member of. The staff is friendly, the facilities are usually very clean and the equipment is well maintained. I used to work out with a larger group (7 of us) and the owner went out of her way to get a second squat rack to accommodate our usage (and others, I am sure... but I'll pretend like she did it for us.) Thank you to the whole team at FF!

Very clean facility. Excellent equipment including free weights, machines, cardio (treadmills, ellipticals, stationary bikes, etc) outdoor patio for working out during nice weather, as well as great classes taught by instructors. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. And they provide shower towels which is crucial if you're exercising during your lunch break and returning to work afterwards. Highly recommend this gym!

I've been a member at Fitness First for a year now. I have no complaints whatsoever. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the equipment is always clean (and there is a lot of it!) and even the other patrons are courteous and professional. Easily the best gym i have ever been a member of. You cannot go wrong with these guys!
