Our Mission is to extend the healing ministry of Christ to the community.

Story

269-bed facility on Hwy 441 in Tavares, Florida. The 450,000 square foot facility offers the latest in medical technology. The uniquely designed "clover leaf" patient care units consists of three 10-bed zones with 30 beds per nurse station and 60 beds per floor. Each patient room is private and has sleeping facilites for guests. The Emergency Department is sized for 60,000 visits per year.

The maternity floor was very impressive, I had a wonderful staff of nurses take care of me. I was so scared and they helped me after I had my child. I still see one nurse around town and thank her for her dedication. I couldn't be in the field and I respect those who can because it is sure brutal at times.

I have worked here, and have been a patient here.  I am a Registered Nurse.  I have been very impressed by the care, especially in the ED.  I have seen some hit or miss care up on certain floors.  Safe to say, I wouldn't go anywhere else in the county.  There are some very dedicated individuals working here.  In fact, they are the majority.  When things are hit or miss, that is a reflection of healthcare in general.  It is a very tough job, and they really are trying their best.

I have experienced two medical situations that called for me to spend some time at Waterman Hospital.   I can only say I found it to be one of the most efficient medical facilities I've ever visited.   The staff are courteous and understanding.  I never felt rushed or ignored.  And clean?  Someone was always cleaning or polishing or sanitizing something.  Even the food was satisfactory.  First-rate hospital.

This is the perfect place to go to die while waiting, that is if you can find a place to sit in the filthy waiting room.  Emergency room has no idea what the word even means.  The ER staff is just as bad.
