My wife felt very threatened by inappropriate behavior exhibited by the senior owner of Lakeside KOA. Unaccompanied women might avoid entering the campground office if the senior owner is present. We understand that anyone can have a bad day. All we asked for was a simple apology. The response: "That's never going to happen." We filed an incident report with Corporate KOA office. Their Vice President recommended that we should have called the local police if my wife felt threatened. We also filed a formal complaint against the "Ft Collins Lakeside CG, LLC" with the Northern Colorado and Wyoming Better Business Bureau (BBB). Lakeside KOA failed to negotiate in good faith. We made sure we responded to the KOA email request for our review, which KOA uses for their President's and Founder's awards to individual KOA franchises. Lakeside KOA has blocked posting of their campers' reviews on their corporate KOA web site.

Only good park in the area in which you don't have to wait a year on a waiting list. There is a private lake (no swimming and dogs are not allowed in) only for fishing and paddle boating. Still, a Great Lake with an unfinished running/walking path surrounding. Small/minuscule gym, decent laundry area. Prices are raising and they are very strict (as most KOA's are) and will leave notes on your door if you break any of their many rules. Great weekend or month visit place. Long term stays could be better.

Our tent site was right next to a large pond. There was a sandy loamy surface to stake down our tent so getting the anchors in and out of the ground was very easy. The gal that checked us in was a little standoffish but maybe she was having one of those days. The showers were nicely appointed single private bathrooms like you find in a home. Custom tile and wallpaper. Will stay here again at some point in the future.

So far love it. Friendly, attentive, and even a little fenced dog park! Can't tell ya how nice that is. Also quiet, clean, and relaxing. Plenty of walking and sitting spots. Around the water is an especially nice spot. Certainly come back. Would give 5 stars but we have only been here a short while. And it's off season.

Good RV Resort. The staff of the Lakeside KOA are very courteous outgoing and always treated me with kindness. The park is beautiful and the grounds are well kept with plenty of amenities and activities. The price is a little high for the monthly spots with a matching deposit that you will get back if you follow the requirements. All in all, it's worth the stay.
