Worked there for 7 months and loved the facilities and the staff. Wish I could have stayed longer. It is every bit as good of a hospital as most of the rural hospitals across the country

I served 3 weeks as a dental resident August 1991. I was impressed with the level of care and expertise at this facility. Highly recommend.

This place has really changed over the last several years. The doctors aren't as well treated. The turnover in the mental health department alone is astonishing, 3 doctors in the last 4 years (?, Stanslaw, Phan). Walk-in service is only for the most difficult cases. I have asthma and take inhalers and antihistamines for allergies. I frequently have upper respiratory infections in the winter. I went in as a walk-in, coughing and wheezing. It took 3 hours to see a doctor and was sent home without medications. I had to return 2 days later to the ER with a dangerous asthma attack and bronchitis, unable to breathe. To be fair, the ER doctors are doing their best and save lives but the rest of the hospital needs work. Many of the receptionists in the various departments have very poor social skills and are often lazy in getting records. Good luck with this place. It was once a well functioning hospital.

This facility is newer and SO much better than the Gallup IHS!!! Its a little outta the way but worth the trip!
