This was a great visit! Since moving to the area this was one major spot we hadn't visited yet, so we finally went. As always, I'm really thrilled about the park site - every aspect of it from the staffing to the exhibits to the availability of information was fantastic. We were lucky enough to arrive in time for a guided tour - if you get the chance, join up! It's a walking tour that takes approximately an hour. Our volunteer guide tailored it to our group and allowed us access to some of the on-site artifacts - overall, he was funny and very engaging. We also saw the flag change, which is especially cool due to the history of this site. Aside from the historical aspect, it's a gorgeous place to take a walk. There's a lot of gentle rolling hills with asphalt or brick to show you where it's safe to walk along with a water taxi service (which we missed, but will definitely go the next time we come). We also saw costumed staff which was a lot of fun! Overall, this is a really nice place. It's a great visit if you're looking for a gentler-grade historical experience in the middle of a bustling city (and there's some great food nearby to boot!). Make sure to check the calendar for special events too! We'll be back in the summer for them for sure.

I love this place. This is one of the most peaceful and most respectful places i have been. This is a place to come if you want to respect our past and the present freedom. This place represents what we call America. The National Park Service does a great job taking care and maintaining the park. it has paths that go all around and through it and the path borders the Chesapeake Bay at which you can view the Francis Scott Key Bridge, whom comes to mind every time i think of Fort McHenry as a Baltimore native. This is a great place to bring your children to show them what we as Americans fought for over 200 years ago.

This was a great historical opportunity for me. To be in the place where in 1814 the star Star-Spangled Banner was thought up. Hey everybody out of visit and see it everybody all day experience American history at its finest. Everybody ought to take the time to enrich themselves with America's wonderful history. It is a history of God, Country, and Freedom.

Fort McHenry has to be one of the best places I have ever visited. The information center is beautiful and extremely interesting with great artifacts. The area surrounding the Fort is quiet and offers great views of Baltimore Harbor. You can totally see why this is such a strategic point. The Fort itself is interesting to explore and see the different revisions that the Fort has undergone. The Flag flying over the Fort is absolutely beautiful and just so humbling. It is such a great site to visit. It is so precious to our National Heritage and Culture. I encourage everyone to see this amazing piece of American History.

On my way to D.C. my family stopped here, this was a great experience as you get a great view of the harbor and there is excellent potential for picture taking. Along with this the museum is very interesting if you like history. The park rangers are extremely nice and now my family has a story to tell. This is because my father who was born in London took down the American flag at the fort. The ranger said that was the first time an Englishman has taken down the flag. If you couldn't tell at 3 times of the day they replace the flag and they allow visitors to do it.
