First off - This place is only meant to be visited by those who are deeply interested in The West, Custer, Pioneers, Native American Indians, Mining and The Black Hills. If you don't love those things, skip this attraction because you will be bored or creeped out. I love attractions that are the sole creation of an individual - and this is what you will find here. When I visited the "Tour" consisted of listening to an old fashion tape recorder that you would physically press play on to hear the "Tour Guides" voice. You pause the tape recorder when necessary to walk to the next area. As antiqued as this sounds I found it quaint. The thing I didn't like about this was that it was bulky, and I was interested in using both my hands to take pictures. The Saloon, Fort, Church, Livery/Barn were the highlights. There were very few visitors when I was there. The staff was very friendly and they were dressed in period attire. I think most visitors will spend between half hour and an hour here.

My husband and I stopped here after a long day. I can say it was the most fun I had that day! I wanted to give Mary a hug and stay and talk all evening. It needs a lot of work however I couldn't have met a more wonderful woman, with a great spirit! We were given a tape recorder to meander on our own for a self guided tour through the property. I laughed out loud the entire way listening to this recording. The tape was recorded by the owner herself and I enjoyed it so much. THANK YOU, you put a smile on my face for days!

Google states this place is open, but it's actually closed for the season. Had to drive 35 miles to find that out. Also, the hours listed are wrong for the open season. They close at 5pm during peak season.
