I should have read the "beware of repairs" review prior to my having earrings repaired by Meyer Jewelry. They severely dented the earrings during the repair and now they cannot be worn. When I brought them back in 3 days later the Manager tried to tell me that they were not the same earrings they repaired. I picked them up from him and he saw what they looked like 3 days prior. They denied they did the damage and I finally became so upset with the Manager I walked out. Do not use this jewelry store especially for repairs. I notice on their website they state how important customer service is to them. Apparently this Manager does not feel the same way.

If all you need is a good shine on your lady's ring, they are fair suited to accommodate. Haven't had any problems with them yet.

BEWARE OF "REPAIRS"!!!! Lets just say my story is long and complicated. For the sake of this review, I will give you the short version (and yes, below is the SHORT version). I was originally sent here for repairs to my engagement ring by my insurance company. The fact that it is located inside a grocery store was my first clue that this would not end well, but since it was the "recommended" jeweler by my insurance agency I reluctantly decided to put my ring in their hands. This would be a HUGE mistake which would set off a long series of events leaving me feeling ripped off and heart broken that I still cannot wear my ring. The original "repair" seemed simple enough- they were to replace the center diamond with a new diamond I purchased from them. It took about a week but when I got it back everything seemed fine and I was happy with the repair. Well, about a week later I am sitting at my desk and noticed that one of the side diamonds was missing!!!! Shocked and panicked I scoured the ground around my desk and miraculously found the stone, and tucked it away safely along with the ring I was now too afraid to wear. I immediately brought everything back to Fred Meyer and they offered to repair it free of charge. I let them repair it but a few months later I was back after another stone was wiggling loose. At this point enough time had passed that I needed to pay for the repairs (they convinced me that it is totally normal for rings to need repairs every year- so not true) Again, they repaired it. And again I came back a few days later after noticing some other stones became lose. Noticing a trend? Keep in mind that every time they repaired it, my once clean and modern looking ring began to look worse and worse- the details slowly wearing away and the channels getting wavy and uneven. I was not happy. But I didn't have the money to go somewhere else so I let them repair it once again. I was also completely exhausted and entirely upset about the situation. The manager, Logan, assured me that this would be the final time I'd be in there for repairs. Famous last words. I even went as far to request that another jeweler to the repair- not the one at that location. Oh, Logan told me he would hand deliver my ring to "the best jeweler in this area", but all I can tell that meant was that it would take another THREE WEEKS before I would get my ring back. And then I'm sure you can guess what happened- there was a new issue. This time the ring had somehow magically increased a FULL RING SIZE! It went from 4 1/4 to a 5 1/5! And Logan had the audacity to look me in the face and tell me it must have been that size when i brought it in- despite the fact that the matching band I was wearing was the same size as always AND the ring was now falling off my hand. I am seriously heartbroken. I cannot wear my engagement ring at all. my only hope is to get a sizer for the time being until I can locate a reputable jeweler to resize it- for even more money and possible risk. Mistake mistake mistake. I cant tell you how much I regret ever stepping foot in there. The only logical conclusion from my experience is that Fred Meyer is running some kind of scam to keep people coming back for repairs. Keep in mind they only guarantee their work for a month or two so be sure you really inspect the work before you go about wearing your jewelry with confidence. Or else you might be back and you'll have to pay again for repairs that were never done right in the first place. Total scam. Be warned. Tell everyone.
