Short version -

Great if you're looking for something specific and don't care about the price. Usually has the latest and greatest tech. Certain departments need to be more knowledgeable about their products. 

Positives

-Expansive inventory 
-Niche PC hardware not carried by other big box stores
-Friendly staff

Negatives

-None competitive pricing
-Old inventory that isn't discounted
-store organization can be lacking 

I have had positive, negative, and overall neutral experiences here. In most cases the staff is friendly, but usually uninformed. Staff in the PC gaming department could use some polishing on the latest tech and what is available. On the other hand I have had amazing experiences in the TV department. The store has such a wide variety of items that I can usually find what in looking for or find something I didn't intend on getting. Unfortunately, they are usually not the lowest price wise and that gap is not filled by quality of service. This can also be seen by the items they have in stock. For instance I have seen Razer PC gaming gear that isn't even being made anymore, at prices at the same level as the latest and greatest hardware. I have also had negative experiences here with customer management and store organization. I have seen the San Marcos store in complete disarray before. There was a point where I went to buy a new PC gaming chair and test out the various models they have, but every single one was just being lounged in by out of control kids and various people just screwing around in the chairs. 

Not a bad place, but definitely doesn't stand out as my one stop shop.

Good selection, good prices. Terrible service. It might also be a good idea to have more than 1or 2 people on the cash registers when there are 30 people in line. Ask a sales person to help you, and after the dirty look, they will act like they are doing you a huge favor. Maybe thats just my experience. Good Prices. Good Selection. Good Prices.

It's a huge electronics store with a section for everything and plenty of great sales, which is awesome enough. But there are also fish tanks by the entrance and in the walls of the cafe, which is a great place to get a fresh smoothie. Stop by the massage recliner section to "test them out" and it's not even a Fry's anymore, it's a tropical vacation.

I don't really understand it but this place has an incredible nautical theme. I'm assuming that it used to be an aquarium or something because it has some really elaborate decorations that I've never seen in other Fry's. Beyond the cool decorations this place has basically any electronic thing you'd ever want at a decent price. Make sure to stop here.
