Great date spot or hang out spot on a nice warm night. This place is right by the East River and you get an amazing view of the Manhattan skyline that will take your breath away. The park in the daytime is great too with two areas for big and small dogs. Also, there is a playground for kids that is renovated and new. They do a great job of keeping the park clean. The piers are great for taking pictures and getting closer to the water. Some of the piers allow fishing.

This is it. This is everything I wanted from NY, and it's just a short walk from a subway stop. Amazing views. Cool wooden lounge chairs in addition to regular benches. Quiet. Nearly empty on a sunny Friday afternoon. There was even some chess set up. But seriously, the views. This is the spot for a great panorama of Manhattan without any tourists in the way!

This is a great place to visit, especially in the summer. This is because they have two playgrounds that younger kids will enjoy most. One has a sprinkler area right next to it that only turns on when it’s warm. There are seats you can sit in or lay back in. There is a nice view of the East River, the bridge, and Manhattan.

A really great park. In the summer they have a lot of free concerts. Week nights they have dancing classes. You can also take the ferry from here. There is a sand box next to the bathrooms. There is a bar with a large beer selection. The seating area is facing the water, and has a great view of the city, especially at night. There isn a really trendy crowd here. Great for all ages.

This is a wonderful place to be at especially after sunset. The view of Manhattan looks so gorgeous from here and the area itself is very nice. You could spend some quality time wuth your loved one or sit with your camera and get that awesome night shot of Manhattan or just simply sit there alone to enjoy the riverside tranquility. There are benches on the piers too. For people visiting NY, it's a must-go place.
