It is a quite little park that is close to the Clinton St. Baking Company. It is a nice walk there before heading back for your table. Some of the park is a little rugged and should more likely be avoided. However, this park is well taken care of and many people enjoy it. You will see many people walking their dogs here. Enjoyed my walk even in late autumn in the cold.

I love this park mainly for the dog park. My dogs loves it more than any other dog park we've been to. Most of the other owners are very kind and helpful they even remove their dogs if they start any problems which is a great thing.

So family friendly park that it seems it's made only to serve them. A lot of space is reserved for playgrounds and children's to play. In the middle of Alphabetical city this park is really big and it is quite indeed well organized. There is no excuse not to visit it.

Better than it ever was. Entirely safe. One of the best dog runs in the city of that's your thing. Great facilities for kids but some of them are disastrously spilled and write unhappy. Don't enter or leave by the southwest entrance, where quite a few homeless sit, quite peaceably, true, unless you want a good chess challenge

Love Tompkins Square Park, evolving over my 47 years there! Pause at the memorial to the Slocum disaster, when over 1000 Lower East Siders perished on a pleasure outing, mostly children. Then find the delightful Miguel's Mountain. Notice the Tai Chi practitioners and the fitness training area, the handball courts, basketball and baseball fields, and in summer, an outdoor pool. Don't miss the Hari Krishna tree! There's a much frequented and well maintained dog run, plenty of seating, three excellent children's playgrounds for all skills and social levels, and the park is surrounded by spaces to run to if it rains - the NY Public Library, St Bridget's and Trinity Lutheran Churches, and many coffee shops, bars and restaurants. Plantings and upkeep seem well managed and this park is enjoyable by all ages and demographics.
