I had an iPhone 6s battery replacement at Holyoke on January 18. It took 1 1/2 hours and they could not complete the Apple paperwork and sent me home with ny phone. I am continually getting emails and phone messages telling me to set up a pickup date. I am unable to get it to stop.

I went into the Geek Squad because the power button on my computer suddenly stopped working. I figured that my visit would be quick and under $100 and boy was I mistaken. After waiting for 20-30 minutes I had my computer taken from me and into a back room. When the man came back out with my computer I was told that the issue was actually with my motherboard and that my charger was no longer responding (I hadn't even given him my charger!). I was told that the repairs would cost $300-400 and there would be additional fees to transfer my data. It was "recommended" that I "just get a new computer." At this point I became extremely mad and told him that I would have to think about it. After returning to my car I googled local tech support and found a wonderful shop near me (Computer Works). They fixed the issue with my button in less than 24 hours and it only cost $35. My computer is working good as new, no motherboard repairs needed! I would strongly advise anyone who "got help" from the Geek Squad to go to a local shop and get a second opinion. You may save yourself $400.

They won't cover cell phone batteries and the refurbished replacement phones they give you are trash. Waste of money.

DISHONEST!!! I work in IT for a company. A co-worker came to see me about her laptop problem. Her laptop would not power up. It was totally dead. She mentioned that Geek Squad said it was a bad hard-drive. $340.00 to fix. I told her that is odd, a hard drive does not cause power problems for a laptop. It is like saying a bad mouse would cause her computer not to boot. I told her to grab her laptop and bring it in. I will look at it. Sure enough, her laptop would not turn on. I saw Geek Squads diagnosis report that they gave her. Sure enough, bad hard drive. I tried to boot her computer, totally dead. How did Geek Squad diagnose a bad hard drive if the computer won't turn on? You have to have power to the laptop to diagnose the hard drive. I grabbed another HP power supply, plugged it in and her computer booted right up fine. Her laptop is only two years old. A scan of the hard drive showed it was in excellent condition. This was such an easy troubleshooting job,I believe Geek Squad new what the problem was all along. Since Best Buy sells this laptop, they probably had dozen of extra power supplies laying around the shop. A new power supply would be $30 part and two minutes of labor. Not very profitable for them and no up-sell services to sell for the Best Buy technician. I believe they purposely mislead her saying it was a bad hard drive, which adds significantly to what they can charge for repair. Other wise it would of been a $50.00 bill instead of a $340.00 bill that they were trying to stick to her. Stay away!!!

Seriously not to be trusted. These people don't really know computers. They don't hire people that really do because they want people who can sell things not actually fix them
