Large lake is good for fishing. The cons are a lot of uncourteous people visit this park. Water is very dirty would not ever swim here and they would not let my kids fish off the dock.

This is a perfect place for all types of people. For starters there is plenty of space to walk, run and bike. There is many trails, but fee allow mountain bikes. There a nice sized pet area with both campsites for RVs and tents. There are 2 beaches along their large lake one only open to campers, and the other in the day use area. There is also frisbee golf in the day use area. The fishing here can be hit or miss, I much rather fish from a boat (which only trolling motors are allowed) because all of the largemouth are out in the middle of the lake. But you can catch plenty of perch and bluegill along the shores. In the areas open to hunting, Turkey is about all you can find. There are also large fields that kids can play in, or they could play on the playgrounds around camp. There is a boat launch in the day use area. Around camp, some campsites are better than others, like sites 1 through 4 look like nobody had stayed there for 10 years, probably because of the minimal space the have and the fact they are very close to the main road. Some sites are more private than others. There is also a group site area that can be used for many people. The bathrooms and showers are very well maintained and clean. The only problem is sometimes they don't have hand soap for the visitors to use. That is a basic summary of one not my favorite places to go camping.

Nice, quiet, and relaxing. Lots to do with your family or friends. It's even pet friendly. My only issue, as an avid mountain biker, is that they keep closing more trails to bikes.
