The park is on the small side but the neighboring river makes this place great, especially in the summer for swimming. When it's hot out the water isn't too bad at all. And most days there are life guards on duty, which you don't see very often at riverside parks. Great place for a picnic - our family goes here every year for a gathering.

LIFE GUARDS ON DUTY!
Love that there are always lifeguards and life jackets available in the summer!
A little wild life and some great swim sports here...  Fantastic for a float, as well!

Clear water and a Sandy beach to lay out on. People were friendly. The lifeguards were helpful and life jackets are free to borrow. I'll be back again

One of our favorite summer spots. The water is nice and clear, there's always a spot on the beach to set up. The ground does have tiny pebbles though so bring shoes that you can walk in in the water on the small stones.
