We just returned from our trip and already can't wait to go back! The hotel is located right in the heart of Main St. right on the lake. Our room was spacious and clean and the staff was super friendly and helpful. They gave us suggestions for activities and they even had sleds for us to use so we could pull our kids around on the frozen lake. The hotel pool was one of the best hotel pools we've been in and we loved that they had a little kid pool (1 foot deep) connected to the larger pool. We ate every meal at Generations which is the restaurant connected to the hotel, we can't recommend it enough it was delicious and they catered to our food allergies with no issues.

Even before we arrived, the staff responded to our inquiries quickly. We arrived in Lake Placid before the standard check-in time so the staff gave us a parking pass so we could leave our car in the lot and go wandering around town. They contacted us when our room was ready and we went back and checked in. Checking in was a breeze especially considering there was a hockey tourney in town. We went to our room and the view of Mirror lake was amazing.. loved it and the room. Unfortunately the room we had (516) had issues with the heating unit and the staff went out of there way to try and resolve it. But all was resolved when Meg called the room to see how things were going and she offered to move us to another room. Great customer service. We moved to room 520 and we had a great stay. The staff took care of getting us Olympic Passports ( a must when you go to Lake Placid). Also we forgot to bring usb chargers with us and Meg let us borrow a couple of chargers until we were able to buy some the next day. We ate at Generations a couple of times and it was very good. A nice perk is a hotel guest gets happy hour perks all day long. All in all we will be staying at Golden Arrow whenever we go to Lake Placid.

We celebrated our 25th Anniversary at Golden Arrow. It's very quiet in late April, nice. Staff here were thoughtful and kind. Extra special touch to wish us well with a card signed from hotel staff with a bottle of wine, sweet. We loved our view and the hot tub. Hotel is being renovated/updated. We were looking for a getaway with beautiful surroundings, this was perfect.

Amazing! I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it definitely wasn't this. The extra touches (origami folded towels/facecloths) are especially nice and unexpected. My suite is spacious and clean, tastefully decorated. It feels like home (albeit cleaner! ) the staff are super friendly, and even the guests are kind to me and my family. I have this permanent smile on my face! I'm so glad we came. I highly recommend.

I’m staying at this hotel and it is nice..However..It’s Unacceptable when the hotels only bar and restaurant is closed and there are no alternatives in the hotel for drinks and food. The recommendation from staff is to go out to a local restaurant or bar which is all good if you’re not planning on staying in. The purpose of coming back to your hotel in negative degree weather is the comfort and warmth offered by onsite facilities. If you want a hotel where you are guaranteed the option of a good bar or restaurant which is available to you during your stay as any good hotel offers, go elsewhere. Had I been warned about this I would have chosen differently from many other options available that offer these facilities especially due to the weather. I don’t like giving negative reviews but sometimes they are required. I would have loved to give it more stars but that would be unfair to the many outstanding hotels I have previously stayed in. The unfortunate truth to this is that there is a good chance that this hotel and its management won’t really care much about this review
