I came in to get one of my sibling's tests checked  at the Tenaya location in Modesto, and it was not a pleasant experience. The clerk in the front acted as if she did not want to help us at all. Her name was Connie. She assumed that I was underage and asked if there was a parent present. When I told her that I was watching my siblings because my parents were out of town, she sighed and acted as if it was a burden to help us. I don't know if it was a racial thing because we are Indian and she's Hispanic or if she thought we were just there to give her (Connie) a hard time. I work in health care also, and I would not be treating anyone as if they were lower than me, especially when it comes to Medical services. There was also a trainee there, I don't know if she was supposed to show him "how it's handled," but it was not at all professional. I will not be coming back here. I was shown that racial discrimination is present, and I was shown what not to do while working in a medical facility.

I don't know how GVH use to be but from my own personal experience, there awesome. The last couple of years I have bounced from doctor to doctor each shuffling patients like cattle without a glimpse of looking like they care. I've been going to GVH for 5 months now and it's a welcoming change. It took a little longer than I expected to get my first appt. but since then my appointment time have been perfect for my schedule. I was in there the other day for one thing and ask if they had an opening in the next week and sure enough just days later I'm going to the doctor. They answered everyone of my concerns and did multiple test for my symptoms. Referred me out to an RA that no other doctor would do. They listened to me. I couldn't be happier. Well we will see how long that last since now my doctor is no longer with GVH and I will be seeing a P.A. It's a guy and I can't stand male doctors. UGH! 

 I was hesitant to go here because we had a very rude doctor at the 6th street office who had the nerve to ask me to go into the room next door while my daughter stayed where she was and asked  "Are you even her mother?" referring to my daughter because I did not want to give her the flu shot at that time but informed him I would on the next visit scheduled two weeks later. He completely ridiculed me. I got my daughter and walked out.  Then they kept trying to bill me direct when they had all my insurance information and called them several times to clear it. 6 months later they did. DONT GO TO 6th Street!
