This is a well run hospital and patient satisfaction is job one for the entire staff.  And it shows.  A few specialty services notwithstanding, the level of care and overall clinical expertise at our three large medical facilities is pretty equal so enhancing a patient's (ever shortening) stay is a constant challenge.  Memorial does well in meeting that challenge.

My son was treated here for a hernia repair and was released in severe pain with his intestines strangled, the nurse practitioner forced him out without checking him out thoroughly stating the he had to be released today. Later the nurses lied to state investigators saying he didn't have pain. When he go home he vomited the hospital food, could not get his medication to stay down or even plain water. Long story short he died 7 days later. This place never called us the parents to say they were looking in to the matter or even offer sorrow. I wouldn't take my neighbors dog to this place.

Please remember the doctors and nurses at this hospital deal with such an overly populated area. The radiology staff was amazing. The ER doctor treated me respectfully and my surgeon was very skilled and knowledgeable. They were all respectful to my family. The staff did their best to make me comfortable and answer my questions/requests. Seems like many of the patients demand empathy but do not have the capacity of empathy themselves. Hospitals are not built on emotional support but on science. Even in a stressful emergency situation it is helpful to show respect even when you feel disrespected or unimportant. Also! How about all the moms make an effort not to let their kids wonder around and touch everything in the hospital.

Service and staff were really good. As soon as you get there, they take your pulse and your pee pee cup. No long paperwork to fill. They try to make you as comfortable as possible.

I took my 2 year old to the ER. I loved the treatment he received.
