Story

Good ‘N Plenty Restaurant is a local Lancaster County favorite, serving a variety of delicious PA Dutch foods in a family atmosphere. Our most popular option is the all-you-can-eat family-style dining, featuring PA Dutch favorites to share with the whole table. We also have menu dining with fresh made soups, salads and sandwiches. Out ToGO program is perfect for a delicious meal on the run!

While Good ‘N Plenty is perfect for family dining, we also offer accommodations for up to 600 guests in our Dutch Room, making us the ideal choice for banquets, meetings, and events.

If you like under cooked chicken this is the place to go. This is a family style all you can eat place, or menu service. We chose to order from the menu. My wife order fried chicken, and I got a sampler platter. My wife’s chicken was very under cooked it was Red all the way though, she sent it back. The waitress brought more that was only slightly better, needless to say my wife didn’t eat it. The chicken on my platter was also under done, my meatloaf was flavorless, the pork and sauerkraut was super sour. The only thing we had the was good was the bread. Maybe the all you can eat or the family style service are the reason for the high ratings, it’s sure not because of the food. We ate here 42 years ago on our honeymoon maybe we’ll give it a try in another 42 years.

Place can absorb a huge influx of customers with ease. Very impressive. We choose the sit at the menu side of the house, versus the family style side, and it was more affordable to eat with small kids. They have a gluten free menu but you have to ask, should be more prominently referenced on their website and on their regular menu. Some front desk staff didn't even know about it. Food was good quality and tasty, came out fast. Lots of seating room.

This was the second time there, last time was 12 years ago. We had lunch and ordered off the menu. Food was okay, served quick. We didn't realize that the chicken my 11 year old granddaughter ordered off the menu was on the bone, and she wanted chicken fingers. They were nice enough to place and order but it took so long to cook, we had to take it to go. I bought wheat bread from their bakery downstairs, it was very good. But I think I will try somewhere else next time we are in the Lancaster area

We did not do the family style, we ate off the menu, the food we chose was very good. The furnishings were comfortable yet 'traditionally old fashion' so more homey the restaurant like. I peeked in at the family style area, there were lots of long tables set up, so I'm guessing if it's full you sit with other people, not really my style. That price was a little high for us, we got plenty of food at a lower price off the menu.

The decor is definitely old fashioned. The sit down family style dinner is so worth it. It is good and hearty food. The dessert is delicious too. The service is fantastic as well. The servers deserve huge tips for their efforts. All of them were very friendly. My favorite dish was the home made rice pudding.
