We just left Huckleberry after 1 1/2 hours of waiting for our food. After that long we asked to have it boxed because we were 15 minutes late for an appointment only to find out the order wasn’t even right! The waitress kept promising the manager would be out to talk to us but she avoided us like the plague. How unprofessional! After over an hour we finally got our rolls-3 for a table of 4! Don’t go here. There are a lot of good restaurants in the area & this is not

We were a group of 48. They served us country home style. Large bowls of beans, bowls of mashed potatoes with pot roast and gravy. Wonderful food. Great service. Two kinds of pie for dessert. Coffee and tea. Service was efficient and professional.

We ate here in the fall of 2016 and the meatloaf was excellent, with a brown gravy. However, just last week Sept 2017, we ate there again; we were looking forward to the meatloaf again. It was a huge disappointment. The consistency of the meat was spongy and it came with no gravy - instead, there was what looked and tasted like a swirl of ketchup on the meat. We were very disappointed and will choose another restaurant for our next trip to Lancaster.

ALRIGHT...real review of this place: The Steamboat is amazing and the dining room is great but the food and service is that of a hole in the wall diner, on the bad side of town. 26 minutes after I ordered my mushroom ravioli I see the table next to me, (who arrived and sat down AFTER I did) get their bread, salad, and soup. Another 5 minutes pass and I am finally blessed with hot hot hot bread which was great and a bowl of soup that looks like the 5 year old in the kitchen didn't finish eating. About 6 minutes after I finish a bread roll my take out for my father (who is staying in the hotel room) comes out in a bag. I know what you're thinking now...WHY WOULD THE TAKE OUT COME BEFORE MY ACTUAL MEAL? I'm not ready to leave yet! I get over it and diliver the take out to my father, (because they also don't do room service) and come back to an empty table with no entree. ANOTHER 12 long minutes pass by...and the table next to me finally gets their meal and my aunt starts to get cold because of the ceiling fans. 5 minutes after the trays of food FINALLY REACH MY TABLE! I'm already hungry as a hippo and as the pale plate gets out I front of me, I see 7 raviolis with some gravy on top and mushrooms. A lot of wait for something I can make from leftovers in my fridge back home. Along with my disopointment of a meal, my mother is also trying to feed my disable brother who cannot chew hard food. My mom tells off that the carrots aren't soft or cooked at all...then the rest of the family names off other problems with their food: Grandpa: hardly any chicken in pot pie Aunt: small hard chicken cordon blue Other aunt: turkey didn't come with enough food Everyone: NOT ENOUGH MASH POTATOES! (I also had a hard time getting the salt out of the shaker!!!!!) Lastly the waitress never asked the WHOLE table if we wanted desert, as only asked one of aunts at the end of the table. The wait is not worth the food OR the price OR the drive. Save your time and go to Shady Maple and get all you can eat HOME COOKIN.
