Super yummy! Big, greasy, cheesy burger... yummy, healthy, robust salad... and the gluten free bun was delicious! My partner and I got Gov's as carryout for a staycation date night. We each got a burger, and split the superfood salad, and it was perfect. We will definitely be going back for seconds!

Fabulous!! Delightful, Fresh, Great Servings, Great Service, GREAT PRICES!! Someone recently complained it it was expensive here. Seriously? Have you been to Micky D or Harris Teeter lately? ALSO!! Nine times out of 10 anywhere else our burger is over-temp; not so here! Perfect EVERY time !!! Thanks, Gov’s crew!!!!
Great burgers and service. We went with three young boys and the owner was excellent with us and them. Thank you for accommodating our crazy family.
Wonderful burgers and hot dogs. I like the Roy Williams, though the weekly special burgers are usually great, too. The pretzel log appetizer is awesome. The service is amazing! Everyone is friendly and treats you like a regular. Highly recommended.
Food is good but don't trust the prices you may find online. Also, the person behind the bar had personal food and drink that they were actively eating. That is a health code violation. Never saw her wash her hands after eating then serving people sitting there.
We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Gov's Burger and Tap tonight! I had seen in a separate post that they have heated outdoor dining and I am always game to try a good burger. They exceeded all expectations! Best burger and fries that I've had in Chapel Hill! Before you ask, yes, I've been to Al's, Town Hall, Four Corners, Carolina Brewery, etc. Gov's Burger and Tap will be my go-to from now on. Despite the 43 degree weather, we requested a table outside. With a smile, they invited us to sit outside and immediately lit the heaters. The bacon cheddar burger was delicious! Perfectly cooked burger and extra crispy bacon. Even without dipping sauce, the fries were great, and I was shocked by the amount. I'm not sure what's in their house aioli, but WOW! I would eat that on anything! Beyond that, the service was fantastic. The owner, Carmine, came out to check on us multiple times and was so welcoming! I am disappointed that we waited so long to try this great spot. We can't wait to visit again!
Food is good and they have a fun selection of local beer that isn’t too overwhelming like some places. Service is friendly and prompt. First Sunday of every month they have a classic car meetup which is cool to see!
Great burgers, salads and fries. Been here three times and love it. They have a small bar with a few beers on tap and have great service. It's a hidden gem.Food: 5/5
Had lunch there last week after my root canal at Governors Endodontics and it's was a great place. Although they are a burger place, their salads are wonderful. Highly recommend. Thanks.
