I came to this bike shop hoping to get a better idea of what I was looking for in a bike. I'm not very knowledgable about the different types of bicycles so I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction based on what activities I'm going to be using it for. I came in and was asked what I was looking for. (by the way, I was the only customer in the shop with at least 3 employees) Told the guy that I wasn't quite sure exactly and before I could finish he told me "well then I can't really help you" He hesitantly came and talked to me for a second and I told him I probably wasn't going to take any of the bikes out for a test ride with which he responded "well yeah of course you not going to" Not sure what that meant? I left here with no new/good information on any bikes and feeling discouraged. I recommend going to Tree Fort Bikes where the customer is a friend and not a nuisance.

Took my year old bike that I purchased from this store inn to have the tires changed to tube less no flat, do to getting a flat tire on a trail ride the sales man said it would take 7 days to change the tires and do a tune-up. On the 7th day I called just to find out the work to be done on my bike was not scheduled to be done for another 2 day. To add further salt to the wound the same sales man that lide to me in the beginning offer's up a free tube instaltion minus the tube cost. if I wanted to take my bike. Even though this doesn't sound like a big deal I received the same type of runaround when I purchased the bike. The worse thing a business can do is lie to it's patprons.

this is a great bike shop. i've been taking my bike for tune-ups and fixes for at least three years. always excellent service and very professional.

I have a 99 Cannondale Super V. My rear shock collapsed, i called Cannondale and was told that they can no longer help me with my bike? My local bike shop blew me off after spending alot of money with them. I walked into great lakes and from the moment i told them the problem, they were on it. They called fox shocks directly in California, after 45 min of being on the phone they had a solution and a shock on the way. Because they took the time for a complete stranger, and solved my problem with a smile they have my buisness from now on. Did i mention i drive 50 min just for their services. My local shop is 5 min away from my house...

I ride an 8 year old Specialized mountain bike on and off pavement, putting many miles of wear and tare on it. Saturday I rode into Great Lakes with a new squeak emanating from the rear wheel area. My bike was quickly examined, diagnosed and scheduled for replacement of the rear brake system. When I mentioned to him I was planning to ride this bike in a race Saturday he assured me they would have the parts and installation done for me on Wednesday. I'd rather repair than replace and I'm able to do that, thanks to the excellent care and service I get from locally owned Great Lakes Cycling.
