I've never written a review before, but I felt compelled today. I unfortunately needed to return a pair of black shoes I bought earlier the same day, due to them being a bit too big when I tried them on again at home. (I was in a rush when I bought them)
So, I called in advance explaining the situation and a gentlemen told me there'd be no problem getting a refund if I had a receipt. When I arrived, I overhear two women workers at the cash register complaining to each other, so I mentally prepare myself... The women that rung me up gave me an unnecessarily hard time because she didn't believe I hadn't worn them outside...nor did she believe they were the same pair of shoes on my receipt, which clearly stated the date and the purchased shoes. After many sighs and rude comments from her and to her coworker, she eventually gave me my money back with a, "OKAY! You can LEAVE NOW."  I understand that working cashier can get incredibly brain frying and frustrating, but it does NOT give them any right to treat a customer like that. Therefore, I will not be returning here anytime soon.

Yesterday, I checked it out during noon around 1:20, small staff, saw some cute shoes, picked out the ones with red dot tags in them, I wanted to know if these were BOGO or just discounted so I went up to the register and politely asked a male sales person, he said he wasn't sure so he asked the sales girl next to him, she curtly responded "nothing, it doesn't mean anything" for some reason she seemed pissed I even asked. I didn't have the inclination to brother correcting this rude thing. The red tags meant this item was on sale, how much or whether or not it was a BOGO I never found out with this staff. Took my wallet elsewhere. Good store, lousy rude staffing choices at the Bay St. local.

Walked into H&M at 8:47pm and two of the associates yelled at me very rudely saying "we are close!!" And as I look around there's people shopping and the store closes at 9pm. Do not recommend coming here .

Worst h&m in Oakland. They only sell to females.

Great prices. Location is pretty small, everything is a bit it crammed in. Clothes tend to fall apart quickly thou.
