Greeted pleasantly upon arrival. I didn't wait long to begin services. Senior students were knowledgeable. You could see that the instructor genuinely cared about the students' skill levels and growth.

Both of my experiences (hair cut) were very pleasant. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the people are all very nice.

These guys were amazing! It took a long time to get my hair in an updo, but that's because the teacher was teaching the student the entire time. They were very careful and I looked fantastic because of these ladies. One of the co-owners was entertaining everyone the entire time and it was a great experience overall.

Lets be clear.  This school gives the students all their equipment granted.  These students come to class during the day from bus, train, walking, car etc which uses money daily.  These students can't even get $2 or $3 from the school for the services they perform.  The school gets money daily from students and clients yet they can't pay the students a simple $2 from each service because they're greedy.  The students already have a 17k school bill they have to pay back yet out of 17k the school can't manage to part with only 1/3 of the cost with each client they perform a service on.  Then instructors like Melvin who speaks to students in an unprofessional manner, gossiping, etc.  Being black you want to be proud of an all black school having success but you can't when you have people like that in your school.
