Harkema Automotive is conveniently located on M37 and a short distance from the M6 – M37 interchange. Clare and Tim have a long relationship in the Automotive Dealership business that exceeds Forty Five years. During that time they have established many valuable relationships and friendships in the suburban area South of Grand Rapids. Harkema Automotive offers fully reconditioned cars and trucks that are also inspected and repaired if needed by our licensed and certified technicians plus they have many new trailers and some used trailers available also. The cars and trucks available would be considered Premium Pre-Owned and may be available with a warranty.

Awesome staff who makes customer satisfaction their first and foremost priority! I didn't have a second thought about driving 2 hours to buy a car from Harkema Automotive and I am extremely happy!  I found a vehicle that they had listed online , along with an excellent description of it, and with good pictures that showed the vehicle from multiple  point of views. Upon feeling well informed about the car, I decided to call the office and discuss the vehicle further.  I spoke with Tim and he was very informative and polite. He was also very prompt in returning my phone calls and was very forthcoming with information about the vehicle to the point where I almost felt comfortable enough to buy the vehicle over the phone without even seeing it in person.  The car was everything and more that they said it was and I am extremely happy with my purchase! I would recommend Harkema Automotive to any of my friends and family because they treated me like I was their family. If you go to Harkema Automotive, be  sure to ask for Tim and tell him that you read this google post about  how highly recommended they came. Small town  values and customer service with big city value prices! Thanks a lot to Tim and everyone else at the dealership who helped make this my best car buying  experience I could ever had hoped for!

Our experience with this dealership was not great. The salesman seemed quite unprofessional and was not willing to negotiate at all even on a $40,000 truck.  Would not recommend this place . So we ended up going to Seeley in Paw Paw and bought a brand new truck. Was a great experience there at Seeley!

I purchased a F350 Lariat 2008 truck. The truck was advertised as very clean with no rust. I checked the truck out and within a few minutes, I noticed that there was rust on the underside of the rocker panels at the seams.  I mentioned this to the salesman and he informed me that it would cost another $400 to have the rust removed and repainted.  I felt that they should have offered to take care of it since it had been advertised as rust free.  After further inspection, I noticed the seats looked peculiar, they were leather and looked flawless.  I asked if the seats had been  sprayed with a leather refinisher and I was told that no, that they were only cleaned with leather polish.  One year later my "minimal" rust  had turned into a nightmare.  There was rust all over the rocker panels and underneath the weather strips on the doors creaping all the way to the surface of the face of the doors. The running boards also had to be replaced because the rust had eaten the brackets out behind the plastic covers.  After $2,000 worth of repairs and finding out that my seats had in fact been sprayed with a spray paint of some sort that ended up peeling off after two months, I am very unhappy and would not recommend a dealer that does not inspect their vehicles and advertises falsely.  The vehicle was mechanically sound in all fairness, but I wish they had been honest regarding the rust and leather seats. 
If this truck is considered a clean vehicle, I would hate to see one that's advertised with a little rust.

I bought my 2009 Honda Pilot from Tim less than a month ago. In that time it has been discovered that the calipers were put on too tight so the car shakes violently when braking, the battery is weak and has left me stranded, and the power steering fluid leaks and has to be refilled every 2 to 3 days when I called and spoke to him he told me he was sorry for my issues. End of subject. I honestly cannot recommend harkema Automotive.

Had a flat tire right by Harkema Automotive and two very kind men came out and spent time helping me fix it right in the parking lot!! They were super friendly and had smiles on their faces! Thank you Harkema Automotive!
