This whole area of Tennessee is very beautiful. Harrison Bay State Park is a very beautiful Park. It has many picnic areas, hiking trails, and a playground for kids. It offers several large camping areas and also has a Marina and restaurant. The food at the restaurant is very good. There is plenty of parking and beautiful scenery. They hold many events throughout the year.

There are 3 wooded trails that offer adventure for any who dare. (there's a nature trail right in the entrance of the park that is a nice gravel loop. First wooded trail: enter the park, turn left at the first fork and left at the second fork (there's a great little gift shop and restaurant that has fish Fridays at the end by the boat launch). Hook left as the boat launch is to your right and look for the trail entrance along the right side of the parking lot. This loop has a couple options from 2 miles to a little over 4. Be wary, if it has rained within the last week it will be muddy. Second loop: go right (straight) past the entrance. Drive about a quarter mile and the loop will be a little gravel parking lot on your right. This loop is extremely rooty and rocky, so I wouldn't call it a great family or running trail. Best for walking. It's about a mile or so. Third loop is all the way past the camping grounds. If you park anywhere where the lake is on both sides of you, you should find it along the far corner of the parking lot. This is also a very wet trail. In fact, depending on the weather and height of the lake you may have to ford some river across a sand bar to reach the rest of the trail. If I had so sum Harrison Bay trails up in one word it would be: wild. They may be muddy, there may be downed trees, you may see 57 deer, you may smell a skunk, but weren't you trying to get outside to begin with? So bring a towel and prepare to need a shower after!

Beautiful useful park with nice hiking trails. I wish the trails were a little less muddy but my dog loves them. Bathrooms are usually very well maintained and the rangers are always doing rounds so it feels very safe.
