Start with the pros: Right on the boardwalk to the far north. Underground parking so your car isn't a sauna when you get into it. Second floor has room off a large open deck which is awesome for large family's with many rooms and kids to play safely very reasonably priced. Cons: A/Cs are old and not very good. Rooms are clean enough but not perfect, carpets are pretty dirty, showers sucks, its like getting peed on. The towels are super thin, I think the toilet paper would probably dry you better. All in all its not a bad hotel for the location and price make it a good choice if you are not persnickety.

I don't know about dated, but this is one of the best places I've ever stayed. Everyone was friendly, from top to bottom. That tells me management is doing something right. (Except the Food Nazi in the breakfast room, don't go in before they open whatever you do lol). Clean, Friendly, comfortable. Granddaughter left her jeans in dresser drawer, I figured they're gone. Contact them 3 days later, and they found them, shipped on their dime even though I offered. One pair American Eagle or whatever gdaughter says, pretty expensive. I've never been able to retrieve anything I've left in hotel rooms. Going back again and again if I can.

Friendly staff, older hotel with some charm. Right on the boardwalk. Let me say, what I loved about this hotel is that it's at the end of the Boardwalk. It's chill and relaxed. If you walk a few blocks down to Rehoboth Ave, you will be in the thick of hundreds of people. This hotel gives you the option of chill or chose chaos. They have free breakfast, but I wouldn't rely on it if you want a filling meal. There are plenty nearby restaurants with great breakfast/brunch specials and buffets. The room views were gorgeous, too. We could see large part of the beach from our balcony. Hope to visit again. Oh yeah, and there are funnel cakes on the Boardwalk. Yum!

Very clean and I cannot express this enough the staff was AMAZING! If the staff moved to another hotel I'd follow them like a groupie! The ladies at the front desk were extremely helpful! Only issue with this place was the rooms were outdated.

The Henlopen is in an ideal location for visiting Rehoboth Beach. Is on the end of the boardwalk, so the beach near it is not as crowded. There are fewer fancy amenities than other hotels nearby, but the price is also far cheaper. Free parking, free breakfast and free WiFi are big selling points as well. We have come twice now and they have done improvements the fix things up since our last visit. We will likely return again. There are also condos next door from the same facilities that have a pool included.
