I would give Hertz at this location 5 stars except that they changed this location to corporate rentals only. It was so close to family when I would visit but now we have to go downtown to rent a car.

Didn't like the fact that they only rent cars for insurance claims, and not for the general public, except for one lady who's the only one that rent cars from the general public, according with the hertz agent, she gets to rent cars from them all the time, that sucks for the rest of the public!

This place is horrible. H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E! I reserved a minivan MONTHS in advance and when I went to pick up my rental, there was no minivan ready for me. They directed my attention to a Nissan Pathfinder telling me how it would seat the same number of people and was actually an upgrade from my original rental request. I went around and around with who I can only assume are the owners of this location and after 5-10 minutes, the man I had been dealing with then offers me a Chevy Traverse (despite there being a preexisting reservation for it! Yes, let's do to someone else what you just did to me. BRILLIANT!) all the while explaining to me how he is doing me such a big favor. I explained to them (for the umpteenth time!) that if I wanted an SUV, I would have reserved an SUV. Therefore, I. DON'T. WANT. AN. SUV! I want a minivan! After discussing the issue with my husband, we decided that we would just rent the Traverse (never mind the increased fuel costs we would incur!) While taking care of the paperwork the man wouldn't stop talking about how they call people to confirm reservations but more often than not, people don't call them back...but I had called them back! I explained that I understand that it can be incredibly frustrating as a business owner but that does not negate the fact that I went through the trouble of returning their call and confirming that I would indeed be renting a minivan. I explained that as a consumer, it would have been really nice to be informed that they may not have the car I requested at time of pickup. Their response? "It says it in the fine print. It's not our fault if people don't read it." I responded with the fact that I understand people have a tendency not to read that information and so it would be incredibly advantageous for them (and likely result in a higher customer satisfaction rating!) if they took the liberty to "remind" their customers (who are forking over hundreds of dollars at a time!) about this policy. They were completely uninterested, unapologetic, and completely rude! The final straw was during their incredibly pushy up sell of insurance ($30/day?! And a line about how it's regulated by the State). I mentioned over and over that I didn't want it. Suddenly, the man and woman start talking to me about how "you never know, sometimes dings just 'pop up' even after you think you've taken such great care of the rental. I mean, it costs at least $90 for the body shop to just take a look at it..." At that point I knew these people were up to no good and I couldn't get out of there fast enough! I called another company and quickly secured a rental in less time than it took me to get off their lot. So glad I did, too-- not only did they actually have the car they promised me but it cost me way less money, too!! (PS, the insurance cost me $12 a day...) I could go on and on about the horrible experience I had at this place. What I've shared is just a drop in the bucket. Save your time, save your sanity, save your money! Do business with a company that values their integrity and their customer.
