Are you kidding?! It's worth the 15 minute drive off 33 to go to a beautiful spot, to get out and stretch your legs even if you're just driving through. Each of the six areas are different and separate. If your time is limited, go to Old Man's Cave. There are brown park signs to follow - you won't get lost. Enjoy the curvy, hilly drive. Your ears may even pop. If you are mobility limited, you can see and enjoy the Upper Falls from a 50 yard walk to a wooden board walk from the parking lot. If not, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery on a longer hike. For the 2018 season the Visitor Center is being rebuilt. That means going to the ranger station or a Porta John. Leashed animals are welcome. There are lots of stairs, big drops. If you have small children, this is where you find out about natural selection... 🙄So, talk to them. Teach them. It's a beautiful area. So many trails to enjoy. This is the pretty part of Ohio.

Beautiful park. This was my first time there. Loved it. Wish I had more time to see more but what I saw was good enough to make me want to return again someday. We went to old man's cave and walked around. Nice thing to do on a warm sunny day because its so cool down in there. Many water features to look at. Neat wooden bridge over the gorge also.

Magical park with grottos, unusual caves, rock formations. Stone house was my favourite. If invested that stone house can make a beautiful restaurant with amazing views. In winter worth the visit to see the I cycles. But be careful when weather gets warmer it can collapse which happened while we were there. Cedar fall and many smaller falls make it worth the visit to hike and enjoy nature.

We do a lot of traveling and camping all over the United States but we were still really impressed with Hocking Hills. We camped in Old Man's Camoground in a travel trailer. We highly recommend advance reservations as the campground was nearly full on weekdays in October, but they do hold some sites (but not the nicest ones) for walk ins if you arrive early. The bathrooms are adequate (3 showers per bathhouse), but the number of full hook up RV sites takes quite a bit of strain off the bath houses.
