Was greated right away and booked in. The lady at front desk seemed a bit stand offish but did inform us how to get to our room and where breakfast was going to be. Husband and I was going out to find somewhere to eat and we noticed a gentleman worker and asked his suggestions. He was extremely nice and helpful. The room we stayed in is pretty big with a separate seating area. Great hot water for long bath (15 degrees outside) I was able to figure out how the room heat works so very comfortable now. The breakfast area and lounge is very clean, will be able to comment on breakfast at a later time as this is our first night and haven't done breakfast yet. There is a drink machine on another floor but no snack machine, it would have been nice for snack machine so we didn't have to go out in such cold weather to grab a snack. Overall it is very satisfying.

Wonderful place to stay.Last night a very  bad experience. Night clerk handle every thing very professional. Plus extremely busy.The hotel made it right.My opinion she should be named employee of the month. With a reward.She was so carring with us and also others.  Shannon is a wonderful desk clerk.She will help you with any kind of needs.

Last minute illness lead me to book a hotel at holiday inn. Availability as well as curiosity of the hotel chain for future use of my wedding for guests this year.
After arriving in the area for a day trip I became ill -I went online and looked for an overnight stay vs attempting to drive back home. Holiday had one room available for 200 something which wasn’t an issue. 

The issue observed was my interaction with manager on site that evening. As myself and my party with me stood there she appeared from the back and went to a computer and gestured in the most unprofessional manner . No verbiage. Due to my state of health I did not communicate the inappropriate behavior. First impression is so important in specific places and for me hotels would be one. She went on to first say there was no room and inquired how and when I booked- I replied via online . The whole interaction was not to a standard I have observed in all other stays in other hotels in my travels. I was surprise when I saw her name on the wall identifying her as the manager and disappointed. What was more disrespectful was as she was with me another guest arrived at the counter and she pause from communicating to me to properly acknowledge and welcome the male and let him know she will be right with him.  She speedtalk instructions to me and hands me the keys with smeared letters to ineligible writing to where we went to the wrong room . She also didn’t keep the room key properly we had to go back and get them rejected. All this with me not feeling well. 

This action done showed me she was capable just maybe selective.  After I signed off on something she proceeded to engage with me in a casual manner lacking the professional hospitality from a hotel manager that is expected. 

In regards to the room they were ok. More details to the making of the bed is suggested. And a freshener in the room would be nice. I had a comfortable night of sleep although the bed I was on was squeaky. 
Pet peeve for me is coffee 😁 I am a coffee drinker and I disliked their coffe . Most that’s more on personal taste.

I checked out the pool area and gym area ... average .
We did go to the breakfast and at our table there was mixed reviews 😂 I enjoyed my selection of food . The lady who was manning it was friendly when I spoke good morning to her but she did have a rudeness about her in regards to interaction with the food. Meaning for example as I was standing in front of the eggs station with a plate she walked in front and grabbed the eggs and bacon dish. Just some interaction would had change the perception.

Hotel location is ideal. Is a family friendly location it appears parking was awesome

I gathered other staff members with just an off disposition. I unsure of this is dude to lack of hotel training ; off of the location/area or etc. only thing I would suggest is to the hotel retrain the staff at the front the importance of professionalism courtesy towards paying patrons who provide word of mouth and recurring business. As for fellow guests of you techs the same treatment don’t just let it be write s review or send a message to the corporate because in-house in my opinion would not produce results - I say that off my experience being with a manager. 

For me as a traveler and a newly member of holiday express ... this one stay  has hindered future selection as first pick with this hotel. And for my wedding ... no go...

Some of the nicest staff I've seen serving at a hotel of its class. Rooms were clean and well maintained. The free breakfast was an excellent compliment, though I feel the quality of the food could use some improvement as it was a bit dry.

Stayed here twice. Nice hotel, good location. Complementary breakfast is very good. Great value.
