Today my little brother (12) went into Hot Topic to buy me a Christmas present. The present he was trying to buy me was around $12. He saved up all summer to buy his family presents. He didn't have all of it in bills so he payed $7 in bills and $7 in quarters. When he went to the cashier she said that she would not take his money because she didn't want to count it out at the end of the night. When approached by my mother's friend the lady asked if she had heard of paper currency. Wether you are an adult or child you should be able to pay in any form of cash if cash is accepted. I am truly appalled by this and will no longer be shopping at Hot Topic.

Everyone in this store is always so friendly and helpful. They're polite and will go above and beyond for their customers. Will always give this location my business!

My little brother came in to buy my other sister a necklace for Christmas today. He has been saving up all summer to buy her a Christmas present, he had 7 dollar bills and 7 dollars in quarters, he is only 12. Your clerk told him that he couldn't buy it because she didn't want to count out all the change at the end of the day, and asked him if he has ever heard of paper currency. This makes me furious because he has been working very hard all summer to buy her this, and this clerk was very disrespectful and rude to not only him, but an adult who tried to help him. I am very disappointed in how she treated him. No customer should be treated like that, and you will no longer have my family's services.

Stopped by just to casually shop. Noticed a buy-one-get-one sale on clearance accessories, as denoted by very clear signs. Picked out a wallet and a hat (they always have a great product selection) and went to the register. The cashier, while nice, said that neither of the items were accessories and therefore weren't buy-one-get-one, despite the fact that both hats and wallets are listed as accessories on their website. Left disappointed. Will shop elsewhere.
