Room was updated but felt warn. The sheets were thin and had a holes. The bed was slumped in the middle from being old. Felt like every thing could have been just a little cleaner. Breakfast was nothing more the toast and pastries. It was basically like a nice motel 6. Fine for a quick business trip over night but not a place to stay for more then a day. Also the freeway noise was have bad. Lots of horn honking.

Was very nice. Felt secluded, but stores,food, transportation were very accessible. Rooms are decent. Felt very safe, especially with the front door having a curfew and would lock at an appointed time, needing your room key to get in. Felt extreamly safe! Also had a small continental breakfast.

The Mira Vista has a very friendly staff.  The location is great for getting around the Bay Area because it's so close to BART and the freeway.  It's a very good value, especially compared to what you might get for the same price.  It's popular, so it can be sold out, but I always check here first when I'm coming to the Bay Area.

One star for pricing and availability. One star for respectable accommodations. That's two stars total. 

As an out-of-town electrical contractor, we had a total of 8 guys and around 90 nights total, which equals nearly $10,000 invested into this motel while we worked on a job nearby. 
Pricing and availability got us in the door. Respectable accommodations (could use some updated furniture/material) kept us coming back for almost 4 months. 
One Friday, one of our employees came out before 5 a.m. to start his 8 hour drive home and noticed that the company truck had been broken into and his tools were stolen. Claiming to be open 24 hours they didn't answer the door phone or the desk phone. Because he was on a time crunch, he left. 

Lost one star for apathy or indifference. 
They didn't care. No initiative was taken to address our loss. It took all day making multiple calls to find out that they could do nothing to help us, despite asking and providing answers to the following questions:  What time(s)? What room number? What kind of truck? License number? Where was the truck parked? What was stolen? 
They finally said that we needed someone to come in and help them identify on the videos which part they needed. I had just given them all the information that they needed for that purpose. Then they asked us to provide a thumb drive for the copy. Neither are possible when everyone is nearly 500 miles away. 

Lost one star for security. 
We filed a report with the police. Come to find out, a few other trucks were broken into, and one truck was stolen. And it happens frequently. The only security they have available are cameras. With so many work trucks, you would think that a security guard or someone would be out there. AND, when we talked to police, the police said the management at the hotel was uncooperative with them too! 

Lost one star for lackluster accommodations. 
Yes they were reasonable, but only a 5 star hotel with amazing accommodations should really deserve that 5th star.

Loved the location - walking distance from a BART station, which was great since we were tourists & didn't want to drive.  Clean, everything worked.  Breakfast was a little disappointing, but it was something to eat to start the day.
