An absolute gem gently hidden in the hill country, they perfectly combine the most comforting and pleasant atmosphere with luxury and leisure.  The grounds are also  beautifully kept while still allowing the natural Texas elements to prevail. The and Spa pool, located and its own separate Slice of Heaven ,  is truly magnificent. Absolutely love this place.   As locals, we would go there often to celebrate many special occassions at one of the restaurants.   The spring house cafe used to be a perfect reflection of hill country feel and decor BUT in revamping the interior design look, it seems that the designer forgot the concept of "hill country" in Hyatt Hill Country Resort.  I'm all for redecorating, but the new feel and especially the yellow/grey plus modern look thing going on should have been vetoed!  Not attractive, pleasant, comfortable and most importantly, not Hill Country. Still love this place!

It's a really beautiful place. If I didn't live in San Antonio and I had to visit for some reason I would definitely stay here. It's really cool for maybe a summer vacation or something. There is a small lazy river inside where you can go tubing and sit on the beach. There's a small courtyard with fireplace with nice seating arrangement and blankets for night time gatherings. The decor is ranch style and very cozy. It's very spacious, clean and updated.

Each December I drive down from Dallas for a conference at this property. In spite of a fire alarm issue in 2015, the positives about this hotel are so great I can't even mark it down a star for that. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is incredibly friendly. Would love to visit in the summer and enjoy the pool and lazy river.  There is a 1-mile nature trail around the property I've walked, it's worth checking out. 
Highly recommend eating at Antlers Lodge (see my review of it for food pics).

One of my favorite places to stay... upscale enough, comfortable enough to be “homey”, romantic enough for date night, but still perfect for family vacations... lots of activities, especially during spring break and holidays... Starbucks in the morning+ great breakfast buffet... I could go on

I stayed at the Hill Country resort for a work conference. The hotel and grounds are sprawling and lovely. The room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. All of the catered meals were delicious and offered a wide variety of options. The staff has been very helpful and accommodating. I would return for a non-work trip.
