Our stay in the Caroline room was most pleasant! We enjoyed the spacious nature of the room. The comfy bed and large tub were particularly excellent. Donna and Minga provided lovely breakfasts both days. On the other hand, in the bathroom, there seemed to be no place to hang towels. The tub had a handheld shower, but it would have been nice to have a standing shower, but we knew this going on since we chose our room. Our room was also connected to the kitchen, so we could hear breakfast being made, but it didn’t bother me us at all. Apart from these relatively minor the Queen Anne B&B was an excellent choice. Absolute Charm does a great job managing this property and we very much enjoyed our stay.

Love this little B&B! So much charm and close to downtown Fredericksburg. Clean, quiet, cozy and the housemaid made lovely breakfasts.

I’m torn on this place because there were certain things I liked and things I did not. I generally do not write reviews but felt the need to inform fellow people who may be interested in staying here. Good things about this place are it was clean, location wasn’t too far from downtown Fredricksberg ( about a mile), ample parking for guests, a sleep number bed, and a very good breakfast fresh made each morning and served in the dining room by a sweet wait staff. The cons include that the breakfast gets started to be made in the common kitchen at 7am in the morning to be served at nine and because the place is old, the sound echoes through the house. Both morning I was awaken by pots, pans, plates and utensils on my vacation! Other things my wife and I didn’t realize we missed until we stayed here was a a full length mirror in the bedroom. We had to get ready for the days including a wedding with a tiny mirror in the bathroom. There also wasn’t  enough table space in the room to put out our belongings. Small things you don’t realize you miss until you don’t have them. Lastly there needs to be better lighting. All in all an okay stay but for the price and experience, we will try elsewhere next time.

This was my first experience at a B&B and overall I enjoyed it. I really like Victorian style homes so I was excited about this visit. I was disappointed that the pictures on this site are old pictures and the room decor has changed. Frankly I liked how they are on the picture better than now. I stayed in the Juliette Suite. No robes in rooms which was advertised to have and needs some drawers to put your clothes in. I thought the food was excellent. It was very close to the downtown area which was great for us.  I would stay here again.

Best place to stay. We will definitely be back. The house was extremely clean and organized.
