I love it here, excellent place for children and adults of all ages. There is a playground, lake, and river. Sometimes there is a mini carnival, which can be very fun. I would also give the mini train a go, its a must do.

The river offers swimming in which there is little to no rapids. Of course, you should always wear feet protection these days, it isnt uncommon to step on a piece of glass or even a fishing hook.

Good place to run dogs or have a family picnic. There is a train for little ones and a lake with lots of ducks and geese. Also has ball fields and a swimming pool. And a workout area with chin-up bar and a few other work out stations. 
The park has many large trees and the Truckee River runs through it.

Good walking paths. Outdoors pool for summer. Nice kids areas. Site of many activities in the warmer seasons.

FOOD TRUCK FRIDAY! Summer time is the best for the best kind of food here. Want a burrito that you're going to feel the next day, they got it. Want some ice cream from a not creepy windowless van, they got it. Want to have a macaroni burger, they got that too!

I guess this is also near the river and there are some gazebos, trails, and a tiny train.
