I stayed at the intercontinental River Front for the National Walk Summit 2017. I enjoyed the hospitality, and the wonderful staff. I think that the accessibiliy was great, but the rooms needed work. There wasn't much space to navigate a wheelchair in the room. That was my only issue. I was in a scooter for the trip, and it was hard to navigate in the rooms. The bathroom was spacious and had a walk-in shower I gave a five star for the great staff and environment. These accessibility issues can easily be fixed.

Do not expect to get out of the parking lot without paying a lot of money. We were given a ticket for long term parking. The cost was supposed to be covered with the hotel stay. When we checked out and tried to leave the parking lot the machine denied us exit. We buzzed the intercom and a woman told us to hit cancel and hung up on us. We hit cancel and waited for a few minutes. We not allowed exit. We buzzed the intercom again. A man answered, told us to hit cancel, and hung up on us. We buzzed again. A woman answered, did not wait for us to explain that we tried hitting cancel twice, told us to hit cancel, and hung up on us. We tried buzzing again. No one answered. We tried again. No one answered again. By now there were four cars behind us. We gave up and paid for a parking ticket. We went back to the lobby to ask for reimbursement for the $36 dollars. The woman working the desk told my husband that nothing would be charged to the card. There was no apology. Why didn't someone just stay on the intercom with us to explain this instead of hanging up? Why did they first just hang up and eventually stop answering? Why was there no apology by any of the mulitiple staff working the intercom or the woman working the front lobby? Apologies at the point of service can make all the difference. We should not have to write management or leave a review to get one. This was very poor service all around. Poor service does not make up for nice furnishings and a good location.

Wonderful hotel to stay at. I loved getting text messages asking me how my stay was. I thought it was maybe a bot, but when I replied with a question, they had answered. Super cool! Citizens restaurant in the hotel was a plus!

BEST RIVER VIEW ROOMS. Reasonable rates. Nice staff. Follow-through was not up to par, however. Asked for room to be serviced and got two hand towels. Never a change of sheets in 4 days. Finally found the housekeeper for our floor (18th floor) and asked her to come by again to do up the room. When we got back that evening, the bed had not been changed, we had two fresh bath towels and no refills on toiletries. But we had a new sewing kit. Thanks.

This is a beautiful hotel. The lobby is modern and clean. The counter staff is friendly and professional and helped us with a special request. Also in the lobby is Citizen restaurant with a full bar and good appetizers and dinner options. The rooms are clean and quiet, beds are comfortable and bathrooms are awesome. Many toiletries are supplied by the hotel that aren't usually present in other hotels. The views of the Mississippi river from the west - facing rooms are terrific, especially at night. Definitely worth a stay.
