The all NEW Island House was purchased in October, 2010 and is under new ownership and management.

Story

The Island House Restaurant and Marina is a great waterfront restaurant with a BEAUTIFUL view of The Eastern Shore's marsh and Barrier Islands.

Come for our award-winning crab cakes and fresh flounder while sipping some of the best local Eastern Shore wines available. We are very proud to partner with Chatham Vineyards as our signature local wine.

Best crab cakes on the eastern shore! They also serve other delicious seafood as well. They are known for their crab cakes and we were not disappointed. It has nice views of the water from the wall of windows in the back. The wait staff is very friendly and happy to make recommendations.

This is our favorite restaurant! While their food is a little pricey, it is worth it! We were not real big seafood lovers when we first tried Island House. Now, even our pickiest eater loves it! The flounder fingers are the best!! Tonight, we tried Mahi fingers and they were just as tasty!

Wonderful food, wonderful views - what more could you ask for? I always order the Oysters Parramore, delectable seaside oysters topped with jumbo lump crab meat. Absolutely delicious. But, make sure to save room for one of their amazing homemade desserts - the bread pudding is LEGENDARY around here!

Had a great lunch! Staff was great, as always. Excellent burger and fish tacos. Football on 3 screens in bar. GREAT view over the harbor and salt marsh. Who could ask for more!?

Wife and I ate there last Saturday afternoon. We Have been there dozens of times. We generally like the food, usually 2 thumbs up. Service was slow but good once we got started. Sweet potato biscuits were excellent but came out with first course. Drinks took about 20 minutes. Good dirty martini. Blackened Mahi-Mahi was spicy, well seasoned; but over cooked. Full rack of ribs smelled fantastic; but were dry (it was hard to believe that they did not taste like they smelled). Best view on the shore in my opinion. We will try again, but it was not up to par. Maybe just a off day. It's well worth the trip when they are hitting on all cylinders!!!!!
