Awesome Georgia treasure! This should be a required visit for every student in Georgia. No, every student in America! Events going on all year that vividly relate this part of American history. Knowledgeable friendly staff. Located in town that deserves a visit in its own right. And the Friends Of Dahlonega Gold Museum are a wonderful bunch of folks providing incredible support!

Really fascinating, informative museum. We brought our Cub Scout Pack and came away with a great visit! It was really cool that workers were dressed in period costumes. All our guides we're super informative and knowledgeable of the history of gold in Georgia and the process of getting that gold. I would recommend that when in Dahlongea that you make this a must stop!

It was a lot of fun to see the events that took place during this Georgia gold rush. I would have never imagined this could have happened. It has always been California or Alaska.
