Cashiers "disappear" when they see customers approaching the register. Customer service really need some work, but overall I love shopping  for the latest trends. Prices are very reasonable and I love the coupons and the rewards. Would have given a higher rating if it were not for the bad customer service.

A week ago I was in line to pay for my two dresses, but i didnt expect to be the first one in line for more than 10 minuets?!?! Slow staff! mostly by the juniors sections. I dont understand why you can take your sweet time talking to your "girlfriends" instead of doing your job to cash my dress and other clothes in line! Please fix your staff!! 🙁

Cashiers sooo slow. I know customer service is important but wow you have a line. Took 10 mins for two people and no it was not returns.

I got a Chair for my mom and it was supposed to be delivered 3 weeks ago. Instead we got a check and no chair. So I called them up to find out why after waiting a long time for someone to answer the phone and no answer. So I went down there to talk to a manager and he told me they had the wrong number. I am angry they could of called me to let me know but instead I get a check and no chair. The manager told me he would have it rushed delivered to my house and I am still waiting and it's been almost a month already. I called them up and they said its not ready or bulit yet. So I called up Jcpenny and waited a long time for someone to answer the phone to find out whats going on with my chair. Finally spoke with Jennifer and she said she would look into it and call me back before she left for the day. Then I get a call saying they will be delivering it some time in may cause it's not built yet, and they are not sure when in may it will be delivered. What are they building it out of Lagos. I was not happy at all I told them I already waited 4 weeks and it was supposed to be rush delivery cause they screwed up my order the first time. They told me my mom can get the floor sample and she could wait for them to deliver it. We didn't pay for a floor sample we paid for a new recliner. Then they said the manager will call me back and again I waited and no call. Worst customer service ever!!!

Good news and bad news !  When shopping on 12/19, the lines were very long upstairs, so we went to the furniture department to check out as we have done many times before.  A male clerk of foreign descent very rudely told us we had to go back upstairs as he could not help us - and he walked away.  I told him he was wrong but then he said he was 'too busy' to help us.  I was very angry and upset when 'Nick' came over and apologized and quickly checked out our purchases. Nick also indicated he was the manager and would handle and correct the employee.  Many thanks to Nick for his help and saving a sale for Penny's.  I hope not to have this problem again.
