The furniture is very good quality. It all has the same tone, so not a ton of variety. They have you hold onto the fastenings that hold the bed, they are heavy BUT I have shoulder issues so a little warning would had been nice... they sort of just hand you a bag to prove a point but as I stated some warning would had been appreciated. I admit it was dramatic, but I would like some prep. The staff is a little pushy but not unfriendly. We may return if we are looking for something in that style.

My husband and I have been in the process of building a new home for close to one year. Our new place is a ranch style, with a Craftsman look, so we decided that new furniture was also desirable. So on an August afternoon, I walked into Penny Mustard to take a look, and attempt to get some ideas for what might look good. I was warmly greeted by Helene Weiner, and that's where the magic began! I told her that I was looking for furniture for several rooms, and wasn't certain what I had in mind. She asked me some good questions, I shared a few photos of the new house, and she proceeded to present some great ideas. She helped me find some cool combinations of pieces that were also on clearance! The fabrics and styles weren't pieces that I would have thought to consider; initially I was thinking of a sectional style for my new family room, but I'm glad she pulled together some great pieces instead. I returned a few days later and ordered a bedroom set, and some breakfast bar stools. I had so much fun "shopping" with Helene...I didn't feel like I was working with a "sales person", but more like a friend who was genuinely interested in my preferences and my budget. The furniture is now in place at our new home, and friends, neighbors, and our builder simply love our selection! Prior to going to Penny Mustard I looked at other leading competitors, and I simply didn't see the quality in the others. PM prices can be higher in some instances, but if you ask for clearance options, you can really fit your budget and have some unique quality pieces in your home!

The furniture is beautiful and really high quality. Prices are on the high end too though. Nearly every piece can be customized with different length, fronts, hardware, drawers, etc. If you want something specific, and you've got the money to cover it, this is a great place to check out.

I couldn't be happier with my experience with salesgirl/designer, Helene Weiner. From start to finish she was a delight. She was very open to my suggestions and helped me to see other options available. The sectional couch I bought is very well crafted made in Wisconsin. The delivery went seamless. This is the second couch I have purchased working with Helene. She is a true professional and was a big help.
