I love the staff here, the customers the atmosphere the place is like a family run business where everyone is friends. It's an older crowd love music and good drinks, the food however is just average at best, the marinara sauce was way to watery and my meal was was just ok. From what they say the pasta is homemade and it was good but again the sauce needs to thicken up.
I have been wanting to try this place out for a while. So so happy that we finally made it there! Pasquale was our server- he was great. There were 6 of us and every meal was delicious. Very large portions, enough to take some home for the next day. Prices are comparable to other restaurants. We didn’t get to experience any of the live entertainment or Joey M but we will make sure next time to have a reservation when there is live music. We will definitely be making this one of our regular spots!
I was extremely happy about the special they were running, 5 courses for 27.00, what a deal!! The people that were around us eating were so friendly made some new friends who were also enjoying the food!!! Then there was entertainment by Tommy!! Fantastic night out!! Highly recommend!!! Parking: Garfield and Pacific, had parking lot, wonderful!!!
We finally had a chance to get back to the Wildwoods for a mini vacation. This place was one of the trip highlights. Excellent food and an amazing, welcoming staff. We will always make a point to dine at LA Piazza Cucina on future trips
An absolute must if you want a genuine Italian meal served in the romantic setting of a singing host, friendly servers and a dance floor exhibiting mature couples doing two step dancing. You must have the calamari as an appetizer, served in olive oil, mild peppers, capers and spices is an absolute gem.
The wait staff were rude. They gave us water in small plastic cups. The “tour of Italy” which consisted of a gnocchi,ziti and tri color tortellini was cold and bland. The sauce would have been better served hot. They had plastic containers on the tables labeled “ tips” . Needless to say , the tip container was empty when we left. Horrible place and staff.
My first night in Wildwood, we ate at Joey M’s La Piazza Cucina. The service and the waitress was dreadful. My food, penne in vodka sauce, was lame. This is the place that plays the cheesy music from smarmy, lilting, Italian crooners too loud. I asked them to turn it down and they did. We could hear each other then. This changed when the place started to fill up and I had to strain to hear what people were saying. They put all the booze for the couples at the table on a single bill that one of us generously paid. They get the booze from a drinking establishment next door, I think My drink, which took 15 minutes to have served, was some kind of Sicilian Manhattan or something was loaded with lemon juice and was awful. The bill arrived with a 33 percent gratuity and I was told, generously, that we didn’t really have to pay this – and, we didn’t. This place had pictures of the Godfather and Frank Sinatra and personages like that on the walls and the pictures of notable locals mostly in picture frames. The utter maximum of kitsch. Restaurants like this serve food to a beach-going clientele that is constantly turning over and, consequently, can serve cheap food prepared cheaply. I suppose it is apparent that I have little liking for the whole beachy scene.
I cannot say enough about La Piazza...the food, atmosphere, service, entertainment, are the best on the island. We have eaten here several times a year for years and it never disappoints!Food: 5/5

Don't order the prime rib special. They grilled it and burnt the most tender parts. Who on earth grilles prime rib??!! Apparently this place does. Waitress was bad too even though it was a slow night. One and done. Terrible.
