My husband and I decided to try the cove after looking for somewhere new to eat but we were hesitant bc nobody we know has tried here yet. Asia was our waitress she was super sweet and attentive without being too much PERFECT service. We ordered 3 appetizers which came out pretty quickly. The scallops were made to absolute perfection the fried crab was my husband’s favorite also very good and the tempora chicken had a sweet taste with a nice kick. Entrees didn’t disappoint either he had the steak n I had the stuffed chicken. The meal was well worth the price. There was even live music which isn’t typically my thing but it was nice. Can’t wait to come back with my kids!
Cute new place for dinner and/or drinks! The arugula salad was amazing and the drinks were unique and fun. Good atmosphere in the downstairs dining area. Will absolutely be going back
We sat at the bar for lunch today. Food was great! Drinks were great! And the bartender Shannon was awesome! I felt like I had a girlfriend sitting at lunch with me today! Loved it. And will be back Monday Tuesday or Wednesday soon they are the days she works
Great tasting big Kahuna burger. Laughable fish tacos. Slow service. Went in for a pickup of one big Kahuna and one fish tacos entree. First off, it took about an hour to get our food, for what basically looked like a mostly empty restaurant on the main floor. Once I got the food though, the big Kahuna burger tasted great, juicy meat. The pineapple was okay had thicker slices elsewhere. Fries are good. As for the fish tacos, I mean, just look at the picture. For $28, I got an amount that wouldn't even satisfy a toddler's appetite. What you get is three tiny tacos with barely any fish on a thin layer of rice. This ain't an entree, this is appetizer size. At least it tasted good but at $28 this is wrong. For $28 you get an amazing lobster roll at nearby restaurants. Good tasting, unfair portion. I wouldn't go back.
Great place to enjoy a fun night out! Had fun at the murder mystery show tonight. Staff is nice and attentive and the food is terrific!Food: 5/5
So today a friend and myself had lunch here. We had no idea they have a complete $5.00 menu! Didn’t know there was ANYTHING left nowadays that’s $5.00!. But the food was delicious, and decent portioned. We ordered a few things off of that menu and each ordered a non alcoholic beverage. Our total bill was 28.00! We laughed how inexpensive it was. The restaurant was busy for a random Wednesday in wildwood in the dead of winter!. The server/bartender Brenden, was great and was really good at juggling his 4 tables and the bar. The atmosphere was fantastic and the restaurant was exceptionally CLEAN!!!! The most important thing was the amount of vegetarian items they offered even on the $5.00 menu! This really is a no brainer for a very delicious, quick, AFFORDABLE lunch!! We’ll be back for dinner for sure!! 5 STARS! Vegetarian options: Over a dozen or more items to choose from! Kid-friendliness: Plenty of room and options for kids Parking: Parking on street and lot behind restaurant Wheelchair accessibility: Sidewalk level entrances 2!. Plenty of room for someone to operate a wheelchair or motorized chair. Dietary restrictions: Great vegetarian options
Went with my family to the Cove while on vacation. I ordered a strawberry margarita which almost wasn't drinkable. It was a very odd flavored.drink. It's a nice restaurant. The food wasn't great. My husband and I both got burgers. They weren't fresh burgers. We asked for bacon and it had to have been microwaved. the French fries were good though. The kids chickens finger and fries were excellent . Our waitress was wonderful! Kid-friendliness: The cove has a few kids meal options.
Delicious burgers and an overall great experience!!! My family and I went to dinner here last Thursday night. We passed by here on our way to a different restaurant which had a huge line outside. I had read an article that this place had changed hands and thought we’d give it a try. The first floor was very nice and about half full. We chose to sit upstairs and I’m so glad we did. The second floor was beautiful…vaulted ceiling, big wooden bar, tastefully decorated, clean and modern. It wasn’t very crowded upstairs. There were only about two other tables and a few people at the bar. They do not have a huge menu but there were some interesting choices. We all ended up ordering burgers and they were absolutely delicious, the best burger I’ve had in a long time! Quality beef, juicy, with good rolls. Our waiter, Irving, was very polite and accommodating. He brought us a basket of rolls with seasoned melted butter prior to our meal. We quickly ate them all as they were delicious- especially the seasoned melted butter. About halfway through our experience they opened the garage door type windows that faced the park where a live concert was taking place. So then we had live music and a nice view of the setting sun which was the icing on the cake! We loved that there was no wait and we were seated immediately. We also loved that it wasn’t super crowded but this place deserves more patrons. They’ve obviously put a lot of work into the place and I want to keep going back! Bonus: free parking out back! Give this place a try!
Initial review below. Latest review: We sat at the downstairs bar on Saturday, two days after Thanksgiving. Across the street at Byrne Plaza was a Christmas celebration, so the bar was busy. The Cove has some GREAT money-saving bar specials all week long. The Christmas.decorations were very nice. The bartender GIGI -- she deserves a Christmas bonus! was friendly and offered great service. All and all we had a great time. Good food, cold beer and fun people. Original review 3 stars: Let me start by saying that the establishment has only been open for a couple of weeks, so I'm sure they are still working out the kinks. My friends and I chose to sit upstairs on this last visit. I was impressed with the decor. You could tell a lot of work went into the place since it changed hands. That said, the bathroom had an old, bent up air vent that had a bunch of cobwebs in it, plus some other old and rusty items. Perhaps the owner is not yet done with the upgrades. The server was pleasant, but the service was BAD. More precisely, extremely slow. My drink took 15 minutes to receive. We were ready to order for another 15 minutes or so before the server came over. So, about a half hour from being seated to order. By the way, it wasn't busy. Most people were just drinking, and there were two servers for about 7 occupied tables. The food took awhile to come out as well, but the time it took was tolerable. The food runners didn't know which of the three burgers was the well-done one. Turned out it didn't matter -- they were all well done. Reminds me of the joke, "We'll cook your burgers any way you'd like, as long as it's well-done!" On the upside, the food wasn't bad. The manager came over and asked how everything was going. However that was at the end of the meal, which was too late. All said, we'll be back again. I'm hopeful that the poor service can be fixed. As other than that, we had an enjoyable time.
This is such a great spot. The food is absolutely amazing. The Chicken pot pie was delish. We were a large group and the staff really took care of our needs. Everyone loved their meals. Jimmy the bartender and Frankie the waitress rock!!! I highly recommend this place.
