Story

Since her start in 1972, Judith Arnell has developed her standing as a distinguished designer in the world of fine jewelry. After studying at the Gemological Institute of America, Judith apprenticed with French master jeweler Roger Coudert from Van Cleef & Arpels for seven years to cultivate her techniques and artistic sensibility. Soon after opening her flagship store in Chicago, she cofounded of the midwest chapter of the Women's Jewelers Association. In addition to operating her Portland and Chicago studios, she also serves on the board of the Legacy Emanuel Medical Center Foundation.

With an aesthetic founded on classic European designs, Judith's ethos is based on the idea that every piece of jewelry should be as individual as the owner. She values the needs of clients to creatively express the feelings and styles that a piece of jewelry should embody for a particular occasion. With her technical and stylistic craft developed from decades of experience, she has honed her expertise in translating client ideas so that every hand-made piece embodies its meaning as an "exceptional work of wearable art".

As a conscientious businesswoman, she carefully balances the aspects of size, cut, coloration when procuring diamonds for clients to select for their custom piece. By providing her expertise at every point of the design process, she ensures that clients make informed decisions on their investment. In addition to GIA certified diamonds, Judith continually travels the world to find the best valued colored gemstones, contemporary designer lines, and vintage jewelry.
