My husband and I purchased his wedding band from Gary Swank. We had a great experience. They were professional and courteous, and they happily resized the ring for us multiple times (my husband hadn't worn a ring before, so had no idea what size would be the most comfortable). We got a ring with an amazing design of Mt. Hood on it, which is where we got married. My husband tried on rings at several different shops and they all looked alike - the Swanks' designs are different and fun, and the ring is high quality and relatively inexpensive. Highly recommend.

I was looking for someone to do some modifications to my grandmother's wedding ring. The ring's diamonds were about to fall out, and it stuck about an inch above my finger (that was her style). There was no way I could wear it.

I went to about 7 different highly rated stores to see if they could do what I wanted, I wanted a similar design but bringing it down closer to the finger, keep its antique look, secured diamonds that would endure day to day wear and use the ring's own gold. I really wanted to feel comfortable and sure they could execute what I wanted since it is such a precious heirloom. 

Gary Swank Jewelers was my last stop since everyone else said they couldn't or it wasn't possible. Gary took one look at it and explained to me how the ring was initially constructed and seemed fascinated to be exploring my grandmothers ring, this is clearly his passion. He explained what he could and couldn't do, and went into detail on the reasoning why. Then the design work started, we discussed everything and he brought up some new ideas, after he understood what I was looking for Gary said he would have a rendering for me in a few weeks. 

I was surprised how quickly he got one done. I liked the rendering it was better than I had imagined. Then came the hardest part, handing over my grandmother's ring. That was extremely hard, it is so important to me but I knew he was the only one that could turn it into something I could wear everyday.
Once he showed me the ring I was in complete shock, it was so different from the original ring but not. It looked so much better in person than the rendering, I fell in love with it! I wear it everyday, and receive compliments on it every time I go out. 
The service is amazing there, I broke part of the band, my own fault, and took it in to have it repaired, It had been years and he remembered me and my ring. He was worried it was due to the design and it assured him it was my own fault. He got it back to me in no time at all in perfect condition.

I suggest to anyone thinking of doing a custom ring to go to Gary, the attention to detail and his passion are amazing, I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Excellent, down-to-earth service, beautiful work, and competitive prices.  I was so nervous about the whole engagement ring shopping experience, but Gary made me feel like I was part of the process and we figured out a design together and I ended up with the perfect ring. He was all about creating a beautiful, quality piece keeping in mind our budget and getting us exactly what we wanted.
