My fiance finally decided to open a bank account and came here because that's where he always went to cash his paycheck. Everything was fine at first until he decided to set up direct deposit after a couple of weeks. He forgot to write down his account number when he set everything up, so he went in to the bank to get his account number so that he could provide it to his work so they could deposit his checks. The gentlemen looked up his account number and wrote it down for him. A week or 2 later it was pay day, but when he called to check his balance his money wasn't there. He called the bank and found out that they deposited his paycheck into somebody else's account! The kid at the bank gave him another customer's account and routing #, and my fiance didn't notice because it was the first time he had seen the number and just assumed he gave him accurate information. After he spoke to the bank several times that day, they finally said that they would correct the error and deposit it into his account, and the funds would be available within 48 hours. 48 hours later, still no money! He calls the bank again, and they say that they have 48 business hours to correct the error. It is now exactly 48 business hours later, and he still doesn't have his paycheck. He called yet again, and now the bank says that it MIGHT be there by tomorrow or Thursday (which will be about 1 week since they told him 48 hours). This is by far the worst service ever, and they are doing nothing to compensate for their screw up. They could at least expedite this whole process since it was their fault, but they just keep extending the timeframe everyday that he calls. What a joke!
