I was running a bit behind and with my lack of familiarity with South County, I popped in to the K-Mart one of the few left in our area to pick up a few things I need for a church BBQ. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of product they offered. I bought a couple of comfy lawn chairs and the had a great deal on the verity pack of Lays snakes.

I've been shopping at this location since the late 1990s and it's not what it used to be. They completely renovated this store around 2006, but that was 11 years ago and it shows. And it was in nicer shape pre-renovation than it is now. The building is getting run down again and the selection is thinner than it was even a couple of years ago. It gives off a vibe that it may not be around much longer. It's convenient and the parking lot is easy to get in and out of, so I'll miss it when it's gone. But in 2006 I would have rated it much higher.

This would be a great store if it were 1990, but times have changed and Kmart hasn't caught up, and frankly they won't given they are on the verge of bankruptcy. The store is in terrible condition, and the shelves are essentially empty, and the floors are all torn up. It's in bad condition to say the least. The only thing saving this store are relatively good prices of miscellaneous items.
