Recently used Kt & sons transmissions to work on an older pickup I am restoring. My 1984 had a late shift point and was shifting hard into 2nd & 3rd gears. When I first dropped it off, Kenny explained to me it would be a few days, as parts for a 1984 are not often kept in stock of loca parts stores. After diagnosis (putting the truck on the rack and looking it over) Kenny came back and said it was either a bad modulator valve or the valve bodies needed work. He gave me an estimated price range of $200-550. On the fourth day I called to check the status and Kenny explained the truck was ready for pick up and had been fixed. My bill was only $225, as it was the cheaper of the two problems. I know nothing about transmissions and had given them the green light to repair the truck up to $550. To find out my bill was literally half of what I had approved, made my day. Overall, I feel as if these guys are honest, down to earth, knowledgable techs who will be up front and fair to their customers. They gave me a realistic time frame and we're upfront and honest on price. Although I hope I don't need to go back, I will definitely recommend them to anyone I know needing transmission repairs. - Josh A

Our vehicle's air condition went out while we were down there on vacation and the temperature outside registered 106 degrees!! KT& Sons put in extra time and effort to ensure our vehicle was fixed in an expeditious and professional manner! Thank you again!

I could never with a good conscious recommend this company to anyone. We were told the work would be done in 2-3 days. We informed them that this was our only vehicle. They said they understood. They obviously understood...but didn't care. They did not even START on the vehicle until the following week! It was a full week before they even attempted to order the part needed. Then for the next week, they continued to give excuses, back-track on their words, and just outright continued to postpone the work. And each day this went on, we incurred more and more rental car fees. I ended up having to rent a vehicle because the first week went by without them even starting on the vehicle. We had to get our son to/from school, sports, grocery store, etc. I informed them that we were out of toiletries, groceries, etc. and I was told, "that's your problem, not mine." I informed him that if they had the work done in the timeframe quoted, I would not have had to rent the vehicle, incurring almost $350.00! Then, after OVER TWO WEEKS, they finally finished. Then I was told the price had gone UP!! They said it was because they had to overnight the part. If they had not waited a week to start on the work, they would not have had to overnight the part! Then when I asked for a reduction in price due to the rental fees that would not have incurred if they performed the work in time, he told me he would not accept a credit card (although his store front says they do) and said, "you will not get your car back unless you pay me in cash!" It is the WORST vehicle or any other type of "customer service" I have ever experienced!!! If I could give them a negative number, I would have! And this review only covers a portion of the incredibly horrific experience we had with them! And of course, when my husband called them, they said they would accept credit card, but they still would not consider the rental car costs. Besides their incredibly rude, discriminatory behavior, if they would have at least covered half of the rental car costs, I would have been satisfied. But to be continually told, "that's not my problem," when those costs were ONLY incurred due to their lack of professionalism, demonstrates their lack of good business sense. Now I will make sure everyone knows NOT to waste their time, money, frustration, anything on this place!!
