DO NOT TRUST CHRISTOPHER SOLAR (previously worked at LA fitness hyde park Tampa, now works at LA fitness palm harbor). My friend and I signed up for a personal trainer with him but cancelled within the three day grace period with said personal trainer director, which is penalty free according to the contract. When I asked if there was any further paperwork I needed to complete for cancellation he said no the money would be refunded within a month. Low and behold a month passes and not only has the money not been refunded but they are continuing to charge me for training sessions. When I contacted corporate, they said that he "remembered me but did not recall me cancelling" and that it was basically his word against mine. Check the video tapes from May 17 around 7:30-8 pm when my boyfriend and I came in to cancel with him (although according to my records at LA fitness there are no notes from him of me even visiting that day even though they are required to make a note of every visit). Check my texts with the trainer stating that I already cancelled so there would be no need to schedule with her. Check the fact that I go to the gym multiple times a week but have never used these training sessions. Anyone think it's sketchy that the week I signed and cancelled with Christopher Solar is also the last week he worked there before transferring to his new location and completely avoiding any confrontation about this issue? Who knows how many other people he has done this to! THIS WHOLE PLACE IS A SCAM. When given the chance to look into the issue, they said there was nothing else they could do. I'll be sure to tell everyone to never do business with this company!

Had a meeting with a personal trainer. Spent 2 hours that day talkijng and 25 doing fitness. The guy said he the one in charge for all the personal trainer. He was very persistent on trying to process payments on the card on file for trading sessions and I had to keep telling him no. It stopped as I loudly had to say, "I am not giving permission to do this. If you proccess this, it was without my permission. Everyone around heard, which is good since this guy probably would have done it had it just been my word against his. Have to make sure you have witnesses! Anyways, the point is, the guy made me uncomfortable and I had to consistent tell him where I stood on him trying to start processing my card for services I do not  want. On top of that the women's bathroom was a mess. Clogged toilets, toilet paper the floor and messy toilet seats. Better off looking elsewhere or a different location. 😑

I go to the gym 4 times a week. I utilize the free weights, machines, treadmills, other cardio exercises and the sauna. Pretty much most of the facility. I find it very annoying that old men who do not use the actual gym just go to the sauna/jacuzzi area, take up space, have social time with their other overweight retiree friends while committed customers like myself who go to improve their health are inconvenienced.

#Goldsgymnorthlakeland. Cleaner, bigger, better/more equipment, nicer staff. Best gym i have ever been too. I only go here because its the biggest and nicest in the area, and there aren't many. #foodsmell tho. Hopefully that stops.

The gym is kept clean and has quality equipment.  The problem is the timeline in which they address equipment that has been deemed unsafe.  There are a total of five (5) cable crossover machines in the building.  Four are for the public and one is in their "personal training area", which can only be used by people who pay for the training. Three (3) of the four (4) cable machines have been out of service for over 3 months now leaving only one (1) for everyone in the entire gym to use.  As you can imagine there is always a long line at this machine.  The staff has no idea how long it will be until these machines are deemed safe to use or replaced.  I pay my membership every month expecting to be able to utilize all the equipment.  A few weeks, okay.  3 months... not acceptable.
